The Irish Poker Tour is offering the chance to play poker and catch some rays in a stunning location this summer with the announcement of its inaugural Portugal Adventure.
From June 18 to 24, the luxurious Casino Troia, located an hour from Lisbon on the Portuguese coast, will play host to the the Portugal Adventure, which boasts €400,000 in overall guarantees. The IPT expects the festival to attract a large number of local players as well as a strong contingent of players from the UK, Ireland, and other parts of Europe.
For traveling players, the Portugal Adventure is more than just a run-of-the-mill festival given the stunning location and guaranteed good weather.
Portugal Adventure schedule highlights
The Portugal Adventure Main Event highlights the week-long schedule of events. The €700 buy-in flagship tournament comes with five starting flights starting on June 20 (each with one rebuy) and a €250,000 guarantee.
Additional highlights from the schedule include the €400 IPT Mystery Bounty (June 20, €40,000 GTD), the €300 Troia Poker Cup (June 21, €20,000 GTD), the €250 Irish Poker Tour Cup (June 22, €10,000 GTD), and a one-day €1,650 High Roller (June 23, €30,000 guarantee).
There are daily €100 satellites running at Casino Troia for the Main Event, with €200 satellites into the High Roller if you want to try for the ultimate spin-up.
The Portugal Adventure centers around the poker, of course, but the Irish Poker Tour recognizes that players will want to make the most of the location, too. With that in mind, all tournaments start at 4pm local time to allow players to make the most of the sun.
