Poker’s newest major tour ramping up the 2021 schedule
PokerGO announced the debut of a new poker tour just two weeks ago, and the vision for the game’s newest major tournament circuit is beginning to take shape.
The PokerGO Tour announced the latest addition to the schedule on Thursday. The Venetian High Rollers commences from the Venetian Las Vegas May 27-29.
The Venetian High Rollers includes three high-stakes tournaments, with a $10,000 buy-in event taking place Thursday, May 27. Another $10,000 buy-in tournament plays out May 28, and the series finale, a $25,000 buy-in, concludes the series on May 29.
The Venetian High Rollers marks the latest add-on to the newly-formed PokerGO Tour. The Seminole High Rollers played out at April’s Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown in Hollywood, FL last month, while the Aria High Rollers are currently in progress at the Aria Las Vegas.
Here’s a look at what events have been announced for the PokerGO Tour so far:

Ali Imsirovic tops the PokerGO Tour rankings
The PokerGO Tour will eventually include 150 total tournaments. Players can earn points toward the PokerGO Tour Rankings for each cash finish in a tour event.
The top-ranked player on the leaderboard at the end of the year gets the honor of being called the PokerGO Tour Player of the Year, and with that award comes a $100,000 prize.
Going into this week’s Aria High Rollers, a few familiar names sit atop the PokerGO Tour Rankings:
Current PokerGO Tour Rankings
Rank | Player Name | PokerGO Tour Points | Earnings |
1 | Ali Imsirovic | 987 | $1,443,610 |
2 | Sean Perry | 931 | $1,328,118 |
3 | Chris Brewer | 604 | $888,500 |
4 | Sean Winter | 489 | $708,590 |
5 | Brock Wilson | 487 | $695,186 |
Ali Imsirovic and Sean Perry stand neck-and-neck going into this week’s Aria High Rollers. The two players earned those spots largely thanks to dominant performances at the previous edition of the Aria High Rollers, which ran March 31-April 3.
Imsirovic and Perry finished in the top two spots in three of four tournaments at that series. Imsirovic won two tournaments, while Perry took the victory in one.
There’s still plenty of poker left to be played on the current PokerGO Tour schedule, and the names outside of the top five in the rankings read like a who’s who of high stakes tournament poker in 2021.
Some of the players in the top 30 include Byron Kaverman, PokerGO founder Cary Katz, Alex Foxen, former WSOP Main Event champion Joe McKeehen, and Seth Davies.
