Event #26 of the 2021 WSOP is the $1,000 Freezeout No-Limit Hold’em tournament. This event began on October 13 and ran for only two days with 30-minute blind levels throughout. It is a new addition to the 2021 WSOP schedule.

The event saw Czech player Dalibor Dula win his first WSOP bracelet. He's the second player from outside North America to take home a bracelet in 2021. The first was Yuval Bronshtein, who was born in Israel. “It hasn’t set in for me yet,” Dula said after his win. “I think in a week or so I will feel happy, right now I just feel shocked.”

Dula dominated a field of 1,358 entries to win the tournament. That field built a prize pool of $1,208,620 after the rake was taken out. Dula came away with $199,227 of that prize pool for his first-place finisher, plus his new bracelet.

In a week dominated by mixed-game tournaments, it made sense for the WSOP organizers to add a generic No-Limit Hold’em tournament in this spot on the schedule. Allowing no rebuys and making the blind levels only 30 minutes long will ensure that this event wraps up before the highly-anticipated MONSTER STACK No-Limit Hold’em event on October 15.
