Event #27 of the 2021 WSOP is the $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. tournament. This three-day event started on October 13, with 40-minute blind levels on Day 1 before going to 60-minute blind levels on Day 2. It was the most affordable of the four H.O.R.S.E. tournaments on the 2021 WSOP schedule.

Anthony Zinno won the event, giving him two bracelets in less than a week, not to mention a Hellmuth blow-up. Zinno’s first 2021 bracelet came in Event #19, the $10k seven-card stud championship event.

Zinno has two WSOP bracelets from previous years. One came from a pot-limit Omaha high roller in 2015. He landed the other in a PLO8 event in 2019. Zinno now has a lifetime total of four WSOP bracelets.

The event attracted a field of 594 players, creating a prize pool of $792,990. Zinno took home $160,636 of that for his first place finish.

The 2019 $1,500 H.O.R.S.E. tournament drew 751 entries to generate a total prize pool of $1,013,850. Murilo Souza won his first WSOP gold bracelet and the tournament’s top prize of $207,003 on an exciting final hand in which he turned quads against Jason Stockfish in Omaha Hi-Lo.
