Event #85 of the 2021 WSOP is the $50,000 HIGH ROLLER No-Limit Hold’em. Following directly from the $50,000 HIGH ROLLER Pot Limit Omaha, nosebleed players were allowed to dive right into another five-figure event (six if they took advantage of the option for a single re-entry).
Mikita Badziakouski has ridden high on the high roller tournament poker scene for several years. With that said, he hasn’t had many WSOP cashes in his career, because of his yen for playing in high-stakes buy-in tournaments. But the addition of several high roller tournaments on the WSOP schedule nudged Badziakouski into entering this year. His second cash of the WSOP gave him a handsome win in the $50,000 High Roller event. The first-place victory gave Badziakouski his first gold bracelet and a handy $1,462,043.
Badziakouski’s cash came in a fifth-place finish in the $25,000 Heads Up Championship, where he came away with $36,820. One day after his victory in the $50,000 High Roller, the player final-tabled Event #87 -- the $100,000 High Roller event, finishing in eighth place with a welcome $217,274. The Belarusian poker player now has 17 WSOP cashes to his name, for a total of $5,786,050 in tournament earnings.
This tourney began on November 20. The event was scheduled for three days.
