There is plenty left to play for as the top five stacks are fairly close together. With no overwhelming chip leader, the five will likely all be waiting for the short stack to bust before truly going after one another.
Let's take a look at each of the six left in order of chip count.
Seat 2: David Shaw - 1,765,000
Houston local David Shaw is the chip leader after he had a great day 2 where he spun one of the shortest stacks to the chip lead. Shaw has $639,000 in career poker earnings. A win here would be the second largest score of his career with the largest being for over $95,000.
Seat 6: Gabriel Andrade - 1,635,000
Gabriel Andrade is now a Houston local who also proudly represents Ecuador while playing poker. He is a Houston card room regular who is often seen deep in high-roller events. He has two six-figure scores in his career which were both runner-up results with one being for a WSOP bracelet in 2021 in a $3,000 NLH event. Today he will be looking to finish the job with a win for what would be his third-largest score to add to his career earnings of just over $1.075 million.
Seat 3: Brad Ruben - 1,600,000
Three-time WSOP bracelet winner Brad Ruben expressed how much he has enjoyed the Moneymaker Tour while en route to the final table as he told Chris Moneymaker just how much of an inspiration he has been to Ruben's successful poker career. Ruben has $1.62 million in career earnings and is fresh off a 4th place finish in the WSOP Choctaw circuit main event just a week ago.
Seat 5: Venkat Chivukula - 1,415,000
Another Houston local, Venkat Chivukula would wrap up his best-ever poker score with a 4th-place finish or better as his previous high cash was for $20,081 for his WSOP circuit ring win in Pompano Beach.
Seat 1: Han Feng - 1,340,000
California native who now lives in Houston, Han Feng has just over $370,000 in career earnings. He is a player on the rise as all four of his largest cashes have come within the last six months.
Seat 4: Juan Tejeda - 180,000
Juan Tejeda enters the day as the tiny stack of just a few big blinds as he will be needing to quickly spin it up a few times if he is to get back into contention and pull back into the pack. The Humble, TX native has $180,950 in career earnings and would guarantee himself his largest score of his career if he were to rise from the ashes to a second-place finish or better to better his best score of $34,450.
