With roles including stand-up comedian, podcast host, comedy writer, poker player and multiple Global Poker Award-winning content creator, Caitlin Comeskey wears a lot of hats. Not to mention fake moustaches, fake tattoos and sunglasses.

Always quick to skewer the latest poker talking points with her satirical sketches, she's built up a loyal following online. A 'Rising Star in Content Creation' award in 2023 was followed earlier this year with the gong for 'Best Short-Form Content Creator'... which was soon followed by her first live tournament win at the Rungood Poker Series in Tunica. Then came the ultimate poker honor: an interview with PokerOrg.

Her vlogs, sketches, live streams and more can be found at her YouTube channel.

What’s one bit of essential prep you do before a big tournament or cash game session?

"Meditation, comfortable outfit, hair and makeup and a nutritious meal. I don’t like to eat while I’m playing so I like to start with something protein-dense that will tide me over most of the day."

What piece of strategy advice did you get when you first started playing that you wish you had ignored?

"I ignored advice to sell a lot of action when I started playing tournaments. I’ve always bet on myself and retained as much of my own action as possible and that’s served me well. But that’s, like, mad reckless, maybe don’t print that ;)"

What’s the dumbest thing you’ve seen or done at the poker table?

"That's easy, it was last Friday and it was me. I opened 6-2 offsuit from the cutoff and tripled off with it for sh*ts and giggles.

"I think I just wanted to go out, to be honest. I went to a dance club after; I wore purple lipstick and a steampunk hat like I was in a Y2K teen romcom. To my dismay, nobody else wore colorful lipstick or costume hats."

What’s your most memorable hand?

"It was deep in day 3 at the Wynn in the WPT World Championship, the furthest I’ve gone in a $10k so far.

"I got it in bad with A-T vs A-4 on a A-4-X flop for my tournament life. I check-raised the flop from the big blind and the chip-leader put me all-in. I called off, knowing I had to get lucky, and drilled the T on the turn.

"I think it was Brad from PokerOrg that filmed it, and the video with my reaction - my lungs fell into my stomach - has, like, 100k views on Instagram."

What’s your single best piece of advice for poker players?

"Something that was said a lot to me in acting school was, if you can do anything else for a living, do that!

"They say that because the odds are stacked against you and it’s a punishing life. I feel the same way about poker."

If you owned a poker room, who’s the first player you’d want to sign as an ambassador and why?

"My Aceholes co-host Nikki Limo is a hilarious performer, poised commentator and a joy to play with, so she’d be a slam dunk for any poker brand to sign. I can’t wait for her Big Game episodes to drop, so whoever doesn’t already know her can fall in love."
