The World Poker Tour has released the slate of festivals for the first half of its upcoming Season XXII, with a dozen series on tap at destinations around the globe between January and June of 2024.

The WPT's first 12 branded events of 2024 include five main-tour festivals, beginning with a January trip to Cambodia, along with seven WPT Prime series. The 12 now-confirmed stops include already-announced series such as the WPT Voyage next spring, conducted onboard the Valient Lady cruise ship while at sea in the Caribbean. That six-day cruise, which begins on March 31, 2024, includes both main-tour and Prime tournament offerings.

Cambodia visit kicks off WPT main tour's twenty-second season

Phnom Penh, Cambodia's NagaWorld Integrated Resort will host the WPT's Season XXII opener. The $3,500 main event is scheduled to run January 25-29, 2024, and it's the first of two trips to southeast Asia that the WPT will make in the first half of 2022.

The WPT's main tour, however, will resume its early-2024 run in March, when it returns to greater Sacramento for the WPT Rolling Thunder event. The main event at Lincoln, California's, Thunder Valley Casino Resort runs March 21-26 and features a $3,500 buy-in as well.

After the WPT Voyage spectacular, two more main-tour stops round out that portion of the WPT Season XXII slate. Both are returning stops. Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood, near Miami, hosts the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Poker Showdown April 19-23. Then it's off to to Oklahoma, where the Choctaw Casino Resort in Durant, near the Texas border, hosts the 2024 WPT Choctaw main event May 3-6.

Four European stops highlight early 2024 WPT Prime offerings

Besides the WPT Voyage launch at the start of April, the first half of the WPT's Season XXII schedule includes six other Prime main events, and four of those take place in Europe. Prime main-event action begins with a February 1-5, 2024, stop at Pasino Grand in Aix-en-Provence, France for the €1,100 WPT Prime Aix-en-Provence event.

From there it's on to WPT Prime Amsterdam at the Netherlands' Holland Casino, for another €1,100 main that runs March 19-22. Other European Prime mains next spring include WPT Prime Slovakia, held April 11-15 at Card Casino Bratislava, and WPT Prime San Remo at Casino di Sanremo, June 601.

The other two first-half trips for the WPT Prime tour are returns to the Pacific Rim. Australia's Star Gold Coast casino will host WPT Prime Gold Coast April 18-23, 2024, and Hanoi, Vietnam's Corwn Poker Club will host WPT Prime Vietnam May 23-27.

Don't forget the World Championship

Of course, before all of these, there's the $40 million guaranteed WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas. Running December 12-21, the event is set to be the biggest in a winter that's crowded with top-end poker action.

The WPT Prime Championship plays out at the same resort December 7-12. PokerOrg will be there to cover all of the action, with full Instant coverage for the flagship event.
