The World Series of Poker's online arm, WSOP.com, has announced a special "Go for Gold" promotion running the next four Sundays that features 2006 Main Event winner Jamie Gold. Gold will be playing in and streaming his play from selected online bracelet events on each of June's four Sundays, which in turn leads up to a July 5 live finale, a $50,000 freeroll, at the WSOP in Las Vegas.

The premise of the "Go for Gold" promotion is simple: Outlast Gold in any or all of the streamed bracelet events in which he'll play (listed below), to earn an entry into a drawing for the July 5 finale, a 5-handed single-table tournament with $50,000 at stake, and with Gold occupying one of the five seats. The events are being held on the joint WSOP.com NV/NJ (Nevada/New Jersey) platform and are open to players physically located in either of the two states.

The four June online bracelet events that Gold will play are as follows:

  • June 4, 2023 -$1,000 NL Hold’em Deepstack Online Bracelet
  • June 11, 2023 -$400 NL Hold’em Online Bracelet
  • June 18, 2023 -$500 NL Hold’em Turbo Online Bracelet
  • June 25, 2023 -$400 NL Hold’em Ultra Deepstack Online Bracelet

Every player who outlasts Gold will receive an entry for that week's drawing. Players can also earn one (1) entry each week by earning at least 10 APPS by playing cash games on the online site on the same day as the Gold-streamed bracelet events. The play periods for each of the four weeks' cash-game eligibility are as follows (note that travel to Las Vegas is not included for the four weekly drawing winners):

  • June 4, 2023 –3:30pm PST –11:30pm PST
  • June 11, 2023 –3:30pm PST –11:30pm PST
  • June 18, 2023 –3:30pm PST –11:30pm PST
  • June 25, 2023–3:30pm PST –11:30pm PST

After each Sunday's action finishes, a winner will be drawn from all eligible entries. The winner will be notified within 72 hours. On July 5, the four winners will join Gold at the live WSOP for the five-handed finale, with these prizes to be awarded:

  • 1st place: $25,000
  • 2nd place: $15,000
  • 3rd place: $7,500
  • 4th place: $5,000
  • 5th place: $2,500

Additional information, including the official rules and regulations governing the promotion, is available on the " Go for Gold" landing page.
