Nolet notches first seven-figure festival from the GG Spring Festival

The GG Spring Festival guarantees $150 million across the month-long series, with several events offering potential first-place payouts upward of $1 million.

Nolet became the first seven-figure winner of the festival Tuesday. The GG Spring Festival kicked off Sunday, April 4, and plays to its conclusion on April 28.

Plenty of big paydays still remain in the festival between now and April 28. The $25,500 buy-in Sunday Five Million drew 198 entries, coming up two registrations short of meeting the tournament’s $5 million guarantee.

Nolet outlasted Andras Nemeth ($813,554) in heads-up play to claim the Sunday Five Million title. Other top finishers included Francisco Benitez (3rd - $610, 079), Benjamin Rolle (4th - $457,495), and Matthias Eibinger (5th - $343,073).

Top to bottom, the Sunday Five Million final table featured about as formidable a roster as could be imagined. Nolet entered Tuesday’s play second in the chip counts, looking up at a massive chip lead accumulated by Nemeth.

Rounding out the final nine were Elio Fox (6th - $257,268), Yuri Dzivielevski (7th - $192,924), ‘FlowTao’ (8th - $144,673) and Juan Pardo Dominguez (9th - $108,489).

The GG Spring Festival just started on Sunday, but plenty of massive potential payouts are already on the line. Event #H-05: Super MILLION$ is currently playing out at GGPoker, with a $586,075 payout on the line.

Dominguez is in the running in the Super MILLION$, sitting second in chips with six players to go. That tournament wraps up later today, and check back with Poker.org Wednesday for a recap of final table action from Event #H-05.
