Americas Cardroom (ACR) has announced a charity tournament this week to benefit the United Breast Cancer Foundation (UBCF), a prominent treatment and wellness initiative that supports breast-cancer patients and their families. At 4:30 p.m. ET on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, ACR will host a fundraiser designed to donate up to $20,000 to UCBF.

The online tourney will be hosted by YouTube influencer Nikki Limo, while ACR team pros Katie Lindsay and Ana Marquez, along with reality TV star and former Playboy model Trishelle Cannatella will also be part of the festivities.

Lindsay, in helping to promote Wednesday's event, said, "I’m so happy to be able to support the United Breast Cancer Foundation thanks to the help of my friends and ACR. I love that they offer holistic approaches to healing and helping as many cancer survivors as possible."

Bonus ticket for event's female entrants

The fundraiser for UBCF features a $55 buy-in and a $10,000 prize-pool guarantee, with the prize pool (up to $20,000) to be donated to UBCF. However, ACR will award an additional $55 tournament ticket to all female players who participate in the tournament. That ticket will be credited within 24 hours of the UBCF event's conclusion and can be used in any $55 ACR event, creating what ACR describes as an "effective freeroll" for participating ladies. The $55 entry rebate applies only to the initial buy-in, and not to any subsequent rebuys.

The United Breast Cancer Foundation was founded in 2000 as a New York State grassroots organization that has since grown into a nationwide charitable initiative. According to UBCF, it offers "an array of programs and services in order to help and support families and individuals dealing with breast cancer. We aim to assist those who need resources and encouragement as they navigate along their journey so that they might cultivate a more enriching and peaceful experience."

More information on the charity is available at its website, ubcf.org.
