Darner gets it done!

Circuit Championship Mystery Bounty champion Mark Darner Circuit Championship Mystery Bounty champion Mark Darner

Roughly seven hours after winning Chris Jones the $30,000 package to Paradise in our Pick 3 contest, Mark Darner claimed his own victory, winning the Circuit Championship Mystery Bounty!

It was his second bracelet of the year, after winning a $2,500 No-Limit Hold ‘em event at this summer’s World Series of Poker for just under $500,000. This win earned him $350,000 plus bounties, so he'll likely be seeing Jones in the Super Main Event.

Congrats to both Chris and Mark on their big wins on Monday.

Darner doubles before dinner and has a message for our Pick 3 winner!

Mark Darner Mark Darner

While our Pick 3 contest is now in the books, won by Chris Jones, the Circuit Championship Mystery Bounty tournament rolls on with five players remaining to head out for the 60-minute dinner break.

In the final hand before the break, Jones' horse that won him the package earlier today, Mark Darner, doubled up with ace-king against ace-queen to close in on the chip leaders.

Already in a good mood thanks to the double-up, Darner was even happier to hear what his deep run in the tournament had won for Jones.

"That's awesome! Let's go Chris, hopefully I'll be in that event too. Thanks for having faith in me."

Chris Jones: "I cannot believe this is even real"

We spoke with Chris Jones, who's been sweating his team today, and he said, "I cannot believe this is even real. I love this game so, so much. I love thinking about it, challenging myself with it, and playing it. And I love watching those who play it at the highest level.

"I never in a million years dreamed I'd have a chance to play in a room with those same people. I’m already such a fan of what PokerOrg does, but I can't thank them enough for this opportunity. This is a recreational poker player's dream!"

Darner eliminates Dong - Team 5by5 wins Pick 3!!!

Mark Darner Mark Darner has just eliminated Vera Dong to win the Pick 3 contest for Team 5by5

We have a winner in our Pick 3 contest for a $30,000 package to the WSOP Paradise Super Main Event.

Vera Dong moved in just over 3,000,000 chips from the cutoff and fittingly it was called by the other remaining Pick 3 player, Mark Darner on the button.

The blinds folded and Dong was at risk needing to win a flip.

Vera Dong:
Mark Darner:

The board came as Darner's trip queens eliminated Dong in 9th place for $33,000 and clinched the Pick 3 victory for Team 5by5 owned by Chris Jones of RecPoker!

Congrats Chris, we'll be reaching out to get your prize to you!
