High Rollers Week edition of GGPoker’s flagship tournament guarantees $5 million

Through the first 51 weeks of a relatively short history, the GGPoker $10,300 Super MILLION$ High Roller has emerged as perhaps the most prestigious weekly tournament in online poker.

The best of the best in the world of high-stakes tournaments show up each week for the Super MILLION$, which frequently generates some of the toughest final tables in the history of the game.

Super MILLION$ Episode 51 finished up on June 1, with Russian high-roller fixture Anatoly Filatov clinching his first career Super MILLION$ title. The tournament took a one-week hiatus after that, but returns Sunday for one of the biggest editions of the event ever offered at GGPoker.

Episode 52 marks the one-year anniversary of the Super MILLION$, and plays out in the middle of GGPoker High Rollers Week. The Super MILLION$ Anniversary guarantees $5 million, with the buy-in staying at the traditional $10,300.

Multi-phase Super MILLION$ Anniversary event

The Super MILLION$ Anniversary diverts from the normal structure for the weekly tournament, which generally begins Sunday and resumes at the final table each Tuesday.

The 52nd edition of the prestigious high roller tournament plays as a multi-phase event. The tournament included a total of five Day 1 phases, with the surviving players from those flights coming back for Day 2 action on Monday, June 14.

From there, Day 2 plays down to the final nine players. The final table then resumes in its traditional Tuesday slot, streamed with cards-up coverage on the GGPoker Twitch channel.

The final table payouts, first-place prize, and overall attendance should make the Super MILLION$ Anniversary one of the biggest editions of the tournament in its one-year history. A pair of Day 1 flights still remains, with the super-sized final table action looking on Monday.

Day 1D begins on Saturday, June 12, and Day 1E plays out on Sunday, June 13. Both flights begin at 6:05 pm EDT.

Players making it through to Day 2 won’t have an easy road to the final table. Through the first three starting flights, some of the names at the top of the chips counts represent the top tier of poker tournament competition.

Michael Addamo (101.5 big blinds), Adrian Mateos (79.6 big blinds), Artur Martirosian (69.6 big blinds), and Dario Sammartino (62.8 big blinds) have already punched their tickets to Day 2.

Through three of five starting flights, 316 total entries have registered for the Super MILLION$ Anniversary event. That puts the tournament on pace to exceed the $5 million guarantee.
