Champion Gary Martin Champion Gary Martin

The final event of the WSOP Circuit's return to Atlantic City after a 5-year hiatus ended just after 12 hours of play on Monday night as Gary Martin of Salisbury, MD closed it out for $18,298.

Sporting a New York Yankees hat and a flashy "I live my ladies" shurt, the 57-year old Martin entered a lively and talkative final table as chip leader as everyone seemed to be in in a good mood to make it so far in the final event.

Martin was able to ride the chip lead to his first ring as the final table took a little more than 2 hours to finish.

This win makes for the largest of Martin's poker career by some margin as his previous best cash was for just over $4K.
