Ari Engel won his fourth bracelet on WSOP Online on Thursday night — and he did it while sitting at PokerStars NAPT Las Vegas.
The unexpected crossover hit came during the $550 Cardplayer Lifestyle H.E.R.O.S., where Engel was among the 108 entries to turn out for Robbie Strazynski's first-of-its-kind event. The 18-time WSOP Circuit bracelet winner was also firing off in Event #29 of the latest WSOP series — a $400 Turbo.
Engel, known as "BacBillNat9" on the WSOP Nevada platform, fired six bullets in the tournament and won $34,200 after just over six hours of play.
Engel isn't done yet
It's an easy game for Engel, who confirmed that it was his largest online tournament win. He spoke with PokerOrg after the victory about the online/live hybrid that has become very popular in the last few years.
"It’s not so challenging. Most people that play online play a lot of tables, or more than one table. So playing one live table in addition to one online; live is kind of slow and it’s a full, eight-person table. It was particularly difficult from a multi-tabling perspective. One live and one online, I’m always pretty comfortable with that. And I’ve done that a fair amount when I play live."
The now four-time bracelet winner is still in the H.E.R.O.S. tournament with three tables left as of press time. Can Engel win a WSOP bracelet and a PokerStars Spadie in the same room on the same night?
