Doug Polk, Andrew Neeme and Brad Owen have each tasted success as poker players and vloggers, and together invested in The Lodge Card Club in Austin, Texas in 2022. This members’ club offers live poker around the clock, and has played home to the popular ‘Live From The Lodge’ livestreams.

Now the trio has branched out to San Antonio, having taken over what was previously the city’s Rounders Card Club.

New venue launches with meet-up game

The Lodge Card Club San Antonio officially opens its doors at 4pm today, offering no-limit hold’em and pot-limit omaha cash games, as well as a $5K freezeout tournament from 7pm. There will also be a meet-up game featuring Andrew Neeme and Brad Owen.

As with the Austin branch, The Lodge San Antonio charges membership fees as well as a fixed rate for seat rental - although it looks as though the price for this in San Antonio may be very slightly higher than in Austin, at $12 per hour rather than $11.

PLO players will be able to enjoy some free time at the tables, however, so if you’re a four-card enthusiast in the area there is extra value on offer until July 10.

As we previously reported, the move to take over and rebrand the San Antonio card room came on the back of an unsuccessful bid to launch a Lodge-branded poker room in the Dallas area.

Plans are now believed to involve expanding the existing facilities in San Antonio to create what will be the largest poker room in the state.
