Francis Anderson took down one of the two $460 buy-in events at this month's Stairway to Millions event.
Anderson took down the 93-entrant Stairway to Millions Event #1: $460. He followed this result up with a second-place finish in Stairway to Millions Event #2: $460.
This is the second edition of PokerGO's STM after they debuted the format in January of this year. The rough idea remains the same this time around, though PokerGO has adjusted the schedule a bit.
The January edition started with a $1,000 buy-in event and roughly doubled the buy-ins for each subsequent event. Everyone who cashes an event gets part of their prize as a ticket to the next event.
This time around there are two tourneys at each of the first three levels. So there are two $460 buy-in events, two $900 buy-in events, and two $1,640 buy-in events. From there, the remaining 6 events return to the approximate doublings up to a $52,000 buy-in finale.

John Yelaney wins Event #2
Anderson's heads-up Nemesis in Event #2 was John Yelaney.
94 players entered the second event, making for similar payouts and structure. Despite this, Anderson was unable to repeat his result, with Yelaney converting a 3-1 chip disadvantage into a $6,417 first-place victory during heads up play.
Anderson won $4,071 for his second-place finish. That makes for a total of $10,773 over the two events on his outlay of $920.
The official PokerGo Twitter congratulations for Yelaney read, "Yelaney bested a field of 94 entrants and took home the first-place prize of $6,417 as well as a ticket to the $1,640 step in Event #5!"
