While there’s been an understandable focus recently on the huge prizepools and big buy-in events at the WSOP in Las Vegas, it’s an inescapable fact that most online poker players around the world will not be competing for bracelets this summer.

Geography plays a part, of course, as Las Vegas is a long trip for anyone outside the US (and for plenty inside it, too), but there’s also the matter of bankroll management. Even the cheapest events at the World Series of Poker cost hundreds of dollars to enter, which for microstakes players could mean putting their entire rolls on the line.

Yet microstakes players are not immune to the charms of huge events with life-changing money on the line; there just aren’t always the opportunities to play them.

But this month there is, with the return of GGPoker’s microFestival, June 15-29.

Blockbuster prizepools that won't bust your roll

The majority of the events on the microFestival schedule come with entry fees totalling under $11, with many as low as $1.88. But that doesn’t mean the prizepools don’t get chunky.

Headlining the series on June 22 is the final day of the Mystery Bounty Main Event, a $10.80 tournament with $1.5M guaranteed. Another $10.80 tourney is the Omaholic Mystery Bounty, also June 22, which has $200K GTD, while the Omaholic Bounty Festival on June 29 will award at least $100K for a buy-in of just $5.40.

Then there’s the micro Global Festival Final, also on June 22, which has a huge $400K guaranteed prizepool for a buy-in of only $5.

Other highlights of the festival include various $5.40 buy-ins:

  • The $20K GTD Sunday Deepstack Special
  • The $40K GTD Bounty Hunters Mini Main
  • The $12K GTD Wednesday Heater

$3.24 is all it takes to buy in to the following:

  • The $15K GTD Bounty Warm-Up
  • The $10K GTD Bounty King Baby
  • The $20K GTD Sunday Bounty King Baby

At the higher end of the scale, $15-$25 is enough to play these events:

  • The $150K GTD GGMasters Sunday Special Edition ($25)
  • The $15K Omaholic Classic ($25)
  • The $100K GTD Sunday Hundred Grand ($15)
