For poker lovers around the world who aren’t in The Bahamas right now, the best way to get a sense of what’s going down at WSOP Paradise is the PokerOrg Instant Live feed. The second best way? Probably Daniel Negreanu’s daily vlogs.
DNegs has promised to keep up a steady stream of content from the Atlantis resort, and so far he hasn’t disappointed. From peeks into the day-to-day life of a high stakes player hunting WSOP bracelets, to detailed hand breakdowns and from-the-table reports, Negreanu isn’t shy about sharing his adventures with his viewers.

‘The way the game is meant to be played’
Sat on his sunny balcony, Negreanu starts his second WSOP Paradise vlog by outlining his breakfast regime - and yes, it includes maple syrup (you can take the man out of Canada, but you can’t take the Canada out of the man) - before talking us through his table draw for yesterday’s Day 2 of the Triton Million. With the chip lead at the table, he resolves to ‘play the game the way the game is meant to be played’.
Walking to the tournament area, Negreanu gives his viewers a brief guide to game theory optimal play. In a nutshell, when it comes to tournaments: “It’s a lot of bullsh*t… the idea behind it is being balanced in every spot and bluffing at the correct frequency. How about this: I’m not going to bluff at the correct frequency, I’m going to ebb and flow between bluffing way higher than the frequency, and much lower than the frequency, and I’m going to bob and weave.”
Did it work? We’ll have to wait and see, as straight up next is his bust-out hand from the Triton Million, when his runs into the of Kayhan Mokri.
Undeterred, Negreanu heads to the $100K PLO Super High Roller, catches up with the likes of Jean-Robert Bellande, Jared Bleznick, Shaun Deeb and Josh Arieh, and talking through a few more hands in detail on his way to finding a bag for Day 2 of the PLO.
“My mindset is so strong,” says Negreanu as he reflects on the day, “I did everything right, I focused on the process and the journey.”
It’s a journey we’re happy to ride along with, and we’ll be back tomorrow to see the next steps.
Negreanu enters Day 2 of the PLO Super High Roller in the hunt for his second WSOP bracelet of the year. And that’s no BS.
