Kyna "KynaCool" England has been named as the first brand ambassador for GGPoker's subscription-based ClubGG online-poker offering. GGPoker introduced England as its latest signee via social media:
England, a native of Chicago, first learned how to play poker while a student at Illinois-Urbana/Champaign. She didn't immediately pursue a poker career after graduating, however, but enjoyed success while playing in Las Vegas while attending a work conference, and she began putting more time into the game.
That led to a string of standout live-poker performances, beginning with a WSOP Circuit ring in a ladies event at Potawatomie (Milwaukee) in 2020. England's true breakout year came in 2021. After a huge third-place showing in a Mid-States Poker Tour (MSPT) main event at the Venetian in Las Vegas, for a career-best $448,755 score, she followed that up with a win in the MSPT's final event of 2021, at the MSPT's Shakopee stop, outside Minneapolis.
The two huge showings plus other MSPT cashes gave England the tour's 2021 Player of the Year honor, the first time a female player had claimed that title. Since then she's become a regular in poker tourneys both in Las Vegas and around the country.
England has also established herself within the poker community as an instructor for PokerPower, the women-focused poker training group that uses the game to help teach stragetic lessons applicable to the business world as well.
The personable England will help anchor GGPoker's ClubGG promotional efforts. ClubGG is available in many jurisdictions, including most of the U.S., where GGPoker's cash games and direct-buy-in tournaments cannot be offered. Instead, subscriptions to ClubGG provide eligibility to play in online tourneys where prizes are awarded, generally in the form of seat packages to various live-poker events.
