The 2025 World Series of Poker is upon us, and there seems no better time to look back on the content we made last series and remind you that we'll be on the ground all summer long again!
It's probably a good time to also remind you that the series is a grind and our content slowly morphs into unhinged as delirium sets in... which had apparently happened by the end of week one last summer, as evidenced by this little throwback.
I had a cameo in this masterpiece created by Nikki Limo and Caitlin Comesky, where Mike Holtz graciously played himself, and it makes me excited — and a little bit worried — for what this summer will bring.
History in the making
One of the coolest things about being on-hand for the WSOP each summer is getting to watch poker history be written live. Last summer, we got to see Scott Seiver win three bracelets while Daniel Negreanu and Phil Ivey both added to their legacies by ending 10+ year bracelet droughts.
Both wins were incredible to see, but while Ivey is famously stoic, Negreanu's victory in the $50K Poker Player's Championship brought out the waterworks as he was overjoyed and overcome with emotions. Certainly a moment worth seeing again, and if seeing a bracelet hoisted about one of the game's greats doesn't get you hyped up for the summer to come, then nothing will!
Is there anything more fun than the WSOP??
The last thing I'll leave you with is this compilation video from a lot of our adventures last summer. This video is a fast burn featuring our rowdy crew of degenerates and some of the most fun, interesting, and funny happenings from the floor of the WSOP last summer, and trust me when I say that this summer's compilation video will be one for the ages!
It's time, y'all! The 2025 WSOP is less than a week away, and summer camp is upon us!
