The World Series of Poker Circuit is back for the opening stop of 2025 at Choctaw in Durant, Oklahoma and they’re bringing along another $1 million guarantee.
The 14-day event runs from January 6-19 and it will feature 18 rings and a flagship $1,700 Main Event with two opening flights and a $1 million guaranteed prize pool.
Last time at Choctaw, Phil Bertram beat a field of 944 entries to claim $237K from a total prize pool of just over $1.4 million. Bertram came from behind in heads-up play to pick up the WSOP Circuit Main Event ring and a banner that will immortalize him in the rafters at Choctaw.
The schedule
The opening $250 Seniors Event of the series gives way to the first six-figure guarantee of the series, a $100K Monster Stack on Wednesday, January 8. Also featured in the first week is the $600 Escalating Bounty, a two-day event with two opening flights that guarantees $50K and offers bounties that are half of the payout of the knocked out. (For example, if you knock out the 10th-place finisher, your bounty will be half of the 10th-place payout.)
Survivors from the opening flights on January 9 will meet on Friday to play the bounty rounds before the $500 Gargantuan gets started on Saturday, Jan. 10th. Two opening flights will fill up a field that plays for a $300K prize pool on Sunday.
The $250 Womens Event will also run on Sunday alongside a pair of one-day NLH events with $25K guarantees. The rest of the week plays out with a $250 NLH on Monday, a $400 Six Max on Tuesday, a $1,000 PLO, a $250 NLH, and a $500 Double Stack on Wednesday, and two one-day NLH tournaments on Thursday with a $1,000,000 guarantee.
The action leads up to the $1,700 Main Event, which starts on Friday, Jan. 17 with a second flight on Saturday. Players will fight for a spot on Sunday’s Day 2 for a mad sprint to the series-ending final table on Monday, Jan. 20.
