The Moneymaker Tour has made its way to the Tri-State area for another great series at Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati and its Main Event is ready to kick off with $500K guarantee. The $1,500 Main Event starts with the first of four opening flights on Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 11:15 am and survivors from the four Day 1s will meet again on Sunday to play for a prize pool of at least a half-million dollars and a spot at Monday's final table.
The successful Cincinnati stop adds to the Moneymaker Tour's robust schedule of tour dates, which includes an upcoming trip to Aruba from Oct. 4-6 and a stop at the Palm Beach Kennel Club for two weeks of tournaments from Oct. 23-Nov 4th.
Several events are on offer throughout the rest of the week, including nightly All-in-or-fold mega satellites to the Main event. Check out the link for a full schedule and keep an eye out for PokerOrg on the tournament floor.
Back to the Hard Rock
In September of 2023, the Moneymaker Tour took its road show to Cincinnati for the first time. The $1,500 Main Event drew a field of 788 players and saw Joseph Bakun rise above the rest to claim the $208,034 top prize.
Bakun managed to outmaneuver WSOP Main Event champions Chris Moneymaker and Joe McKeehen on his way to victory, making the impressive win all the more special.
“After an amazing series last September, we are excited to return to Hard Rock Casino Cincinnati,” said Tony Burns, Executive Manager of the Moneymaker Tour. “Continuing to partner with one of the most recognizable brands in the world amplifies our reach, resonates with our audience, and rocks our business to a whole other level.”
PokerOrg recently spoke to Burns about the Moneymaker Tour's growth spurt and its continued drive to generate new Moneymaker-esque stories for the poker community. The champ himself has been making headlines on the tables as well, finishing sixth in ACR's Venom for $380K before winning the Triton GG Million$ and the Enjoy Poker Main Event in Uruguay.
