Partypoker has announced the signing of Brazilian online superstar Yuri Dzivielevski as the latest member of its vaunted Team partypoker lineup. Dzivielevski, of Curitiba, Brazil, ranks as one of the biggest stars in the online game today.

Dzivielevski ranks as the number-one online player on the planet according to PocketFives' rolling online-poker ranking system. He's one of five Brazilian pros current ranked in P5's online-poker top 10, and his nearly $14.1 million in online cashes is the most for any South American players. It's also the third time Dzivielevski has been the world's #1 ranked online player. He previously topped those rankings for two brief stretches in late 2014.

Dzivielevski will play as a sponsored partypoker pro under the handle "theNERDguy". He was formerly known on partypoker as "relentless", as well as playing more recently under his own real name ("Yuri Dzivielevski"). His move to the "theNERDguy" handle reflects his most widely known online name. He's played under that nickname on PokerStars, where he's won more than half ($7.7 million) of his career online earnings.

He's also played under the screennames "Y Dzivielevski" on GGPoker/Natural 8, "smashed avocado" on Americas Cardroom, "shitakemushi" on 888 Poker, and "jaimelavocat" on Winamax. His single largest online payday came in 2014, when he won $1,253,070 in the PokerStars WCOOP main event. His second-largest career cash, $849,150, came in ACR's $8M "Venom" tourney earlier this year. Both cashes came in runner-up showings, though he's won at least 176 significant online events.

Dzivielevski has also earned two WSOP bracelets. His first WSOP win came in a mixed event in 2019, and his second came in an online (GGPoker) event in 2020. He's earned another $1.3 million in career live events, including cashes of more than $200,000 each in his two bracelet wins.

Sponsored debut at ongoing WPT Online Championships

Dzivielevski's turn as a patched-up partypoker pro begins immediately. He's one of several party-sponsored players participating in the site's WPT Online Championships series, which began in August and runs through September 14.

The 29-year-old Dzivielevski has been a dominant online pro for most of his adult life. He first began playing at age 16, and left high school to play professionally. He was soon helping to support his family with his winnings as he climbed to the highest rungs of the online game.

Dzivielevski plans to be an active member of party's sponsored-player team. Early plans include his participation as a frequent contributor to partypokerTV -- the site's popular Twitch channel -- along with other content yet to be announced. "It’s a dream coming true," Dzivielevski told partypoker. "Joining partypoker is one of the most important achievements in my career and I am very excited to work with them."
