The PokerAtlas Tour, the newest entry among US-based mid-major tournament series, has announced its second and third stops of 2024. In April, the nascent tour will arrive in Texas for a 16-event festival at TCH Houston, and in May, the tour moves to California for a seven-event run at Thunder Valley, near Sacramento.
The two newly-announced stops join the PokerAtlas Tour's upcoming 2024 kickoff at Resorts World Las Vegas. The Vegas series runs for 12 days, March 7-18, 2024, and offers $700,000 in guaranteed prize money. The TCH Houston series marks a return visit to the venue for the PokerAtlas series, while Thunder Valley, in suburban Lincoln, will be a new stop for the second-year tour.
Back-to-back announcements on social media
PokerAtlas Tour teased the April and May series with a matching pair of online flyers posted on Twitter / X on back-to-back days. The April return to Houston will run for 13 days, April 10-22, 2024:
May's California series at Thunder Valley runs for a shorte 11-day span, but it will still offer $500,000 in guaranteed prize-pool payouts:
The two stops appear to have just finalized. Neither series has been added to the PokerAtlas Tour site as of this featurette's release, meaning that the flyers as shown above (and which can be clicked through to expand), represent one of the only places at the moment to find the series' specifics.
