Two of the biggest and best-established poker sites are competing over F1-themed promotions and series this summer. PokerStars is launching a Red Spade Pass in time for the Brazil Grand Prix. Meanwhile, Partypoker is another Grand Prix summer series. This time the GP series is all knock-out competitions.
The PokerStars Red Spade Passes are based around a three-day Brazil Grand Prix experience with five nights' accommodation in Sao Paulo, return flights for two people, and:
- a personalized video message from an Oracle Red Bull Racing driver;
- a bundle of PokerStars and Oracle Red Bull Racing merchandise;
- a $250/€250 PokerStars Sports bets, if available in the winner's region;
- a $250 in PokerStars Casino spins, if available in the winner's region;
- a $109 Sunday Million buy-in, also if available in the winner's region; and
- a one-hour poker lesson with a PokerStars Learn coach.
The first few Red Spade Passes will also include a trip to Nice and Monaco for the Monaco Grand Prix.
The Red Spade Passes will only be available as prizes in various PokerStars events. So far the only confirmed way to win is in the EPT Mystery Bounty event where a Red Spade Pass will be one of the possible bounties.
Rebecca McAdam Willets, the Director of Partnerships, Public Relations and Consumer Engagement at PokerStars, told the press: "Our aim is to give our community epic moments that they will never forget.
"Together, PokerStars and Oracle Red Bull Racing want to bring entertainment to all of our fans and players, and this season we've seen some fantastic moments both on and off the track. As our partnership continues to grow, we're looking forward to bringing even more unique experiences to the PokerStars communities."
Partypoker and McLaren get F1 fever
Partypoker, on the other hand, is jumping in with a several F1-themed series.
Party's sponsorship deal with McLaren already fueled a lap of turbo events — aptly titled The McLaren Turbo Series. Then the company doubled down with a series of live events at it's UK partner Dusk Till Dawn called The Grand Prix UK.
Now the PartyPoker Grand Prix KO Summer Edition will get underway with a series of online progressive knockout events. If you have a Partypoker online account, you'll be able to play in fourteen events ranging from events with $3.30 buy-ins up to $320.
The Grand Prix season will keep on driving until late November giving Partypoker, PokerStars, and their competition plenty of time to double down or raise the stakes with more tie-in promotions.
