The end of a calendar year is generally a busy time for players and poker sites to put together or end endorsement deals, and one of the first such transactions to arrive this season is the news that veteran poker vlogger Jonathan 'apestyles' Van Fleet is trading in his ACR Poker gear to represent a newer site, WPT Global.
On Thursday, Van Fleet turned a few online heads when he announced his departure from ACR:
The popular poker streamer gave one hint that he'd likely land somewhere else immediately. When a fan on Twitter/X asked if this meant more or less streaming, Van Fleet quickly replied, "More."
Van Fleet announces new deal with WPT Global
It took only one day for "apestyles" to reveal his new digs at WPT Global. As December arrived, Van Fleet informed his fan base about his new brand-ambassador deal:
Van Fleet, a native of New York, will be busy in his new roles with WPT, likely including more appearances at this month's WPT World Championship in addition to renewed energy in his online postings. Van Fleet famously endured an episode with popular video portal YouTube in which his entire library of poker videos was deleted from the site.
Van Fleet joins other WPT Global ambassadors including Brad Owen, Andrew Neeme, Ethan "Rampage" Yau, Phil Ivey, Lunn Gilmartin, and Angel Guillen.
