Daniel Negreanu has already burned through his two bullets in the $50K High Roller in what's been a pretty brutal day for him at the WSOP so far.
There was nothing he could do about his first bustout.
After a raise UTG from Boris Angelov to 6K, Negreanu shipped his last 86K from the small blind with .
Angelov called with and drilled a queen on the
flop.
With neither player holding a diamond, the board ran out to send a bemused Negreanu to the rail.
Watch the hand play out below.
Negreanu's aces cracked before exit
The starting stack in the $50K High Roller is 300,000, so what happened to the rest of Negreanu's chips?
That was even more brutal. He lost a sizeable pot earlier on Day 1 after his aces were cracked by Batmunkh Unubukh's A-K. He flopped a king and turned another.
Negreanu was vlogging his exit hand and mentioned the earlier bad beat several times — to anyone who would listen — before capping it off with a "Holy f**k" as he prepared to fire a second bullet.
Moron takes Negreanu's second stack
On the first break of the day, Ignacio Moron was leading the way with a little over double his starting stack.
Some of those chips came from Negreanu, who busted his second bullet with the worst of it. Watch how that went down below.
You might recognise Moron from the $25K High Roller 8-Handed final table that Kristen Foxen won on Monday night – he finished fifth for $413,389. Angelov is sitting on a stack of 402K.
The field in the $50K High Roller is growing – up to 72 players at the time of writing. The same event last year got 171 entries, with Jason Koon winning the bracelet and close to $2 million.
He's back to defend his title, along with Stephen Chidwick, Andrew Lichtenberger, Adrian Mateos and Alex Foxen.
Players are allowed one re-entry, with late registration remaining open until the end of Level 10 on Tuesday.
