On April 8, a $13,626 deposit arrived in the account of Phenom Poker Ambassador Viktor Blom. By April 18, his balance had risen beyond $1,750,000.
In a run that harkened back to the Swedish online poker legend's glory days, Blom battled at nosebleed stakes across a number of variants – weathering sizable swings throughout the 20,995 hands played.
The Phenom Poker Blog put together a comprehensive report on Blom's run, including graphs tracking his profits and losses over the run, day-by-day results, and a breakdown of his game selection along with results in each variant. Plus, the summaries and replays of five of the biggest PLO5 pots he played against Teimurazi Tabagari.
While the level of competition Blom faced doesn't hold a candle to the names he squared off against back in the Full Tilt days – names like Tom Dwan, Patrik Antonius, and Phil Ivey – the nosebleed stakes on any online platform are not for the faint of heart. As we all know, though, Blom isn't one to back down from a challenge.
An 'Isildur1' moment in 2026
It's been nearly two decades since Blom first arrived on the online poker scene. At the time, he played under the moniker 'Isildur1' – a name that quickly became one of the most-feared in the online arenas. While he no longer hides behind the anonymity of a username, Blom has maintained his reputation as one of the most capable and skilled players across a wide variety of poker variants.
In this relatively small sample of hands played, the majority of Blom's volume came in the 8-Game Mix streets – where he played 11,675 hands and netted himself a profit of $114,802.
Blom's biggest losing day was April 17 when he battled Tabagari in the PLO5 streets and posted a net loss of $451,619.
The following day, April 18, he bounced back with a $1,068,294 net profit – his biggest win of the run.
