Both live and online events on tap for the World Poker Tour flagship

December’s WPT Online Poker Open powered by partypoker US Network played out as a landmark event in the history of the World Poker Tour.

Not only was the New Jersey-only tournament the first-ever online event in the lifetime of the WPT Main Tour, but it also marked the return of the Main Tour after a nine-month hiatus due to COVID-19 implications.

Tournament players looking to have their names etched on the Mike Sexton WPT Champions Cup won’t have to wait another nine months for another crack at a Main Tour championship. Following the success of the Online Poker Open, the WPT Main Tour continues rolling through the first half of 2021.
