WSOP Online June Circuit series: First-time winners claim gold rings

The World Series of Poker has released the first results from the WSOP.com Online June Circuit series for its shared MI/NV/NJ platform. First-time Circuit ringwinners emerged from each of the series' three events, including players from California, Michigan, and Italy, even if all competitors had to be physically present in Nevada, Michigan, or New Jersey to play in these online Circuit events.

Event #1 - $320 No-limit Hold'em $150K Gtd.

The June Circuit series' first ring went to California's Jeffrey 'Yarch1.' Yarchever, an online regular who now plays from Nevada. Yarchever topped a 623-entry field (367 unique players, 259 re-entries) to win his first career Circuit ring and $30,667.74.

Yarchever has nearly 60 WSOP cashes to date with total earnings over a third of a million dollars. Yarchever outlasted Michael 'MikeyFu37' Funaro for the win, leaving Funaro to collect $22,348.20 as the runner-up. Third went to Frank 'no_fun' Luccarelli, along with more than $6,900.

Event #2 - $215 NLH 6-Max $125K Gtd.

Michigan's Roger Khoury, who hails from the Grand Rapids area, joined Yarchever as a first-time Circuit winner with a triumph in the series' first short-handed event. Khoury, playing as 'JohnCennnnna', topped an 888-entry field (499 unique players, 389 re-entries) for the ring and a $27,492.48 score.

Khoury held off Jesus '21SMYL3O' Martinez for the title. Martinez's second-place finish was worth $20,051.04. Anthony 'DonkeyFly' Huntsman placed third for $14,740.80.

Event #2 cleared its guarantee and finished with a $177,699 prize pool. 144 players earned a payday in the tourney.

Event #3 - $215 NLH Turbo $125K Gtd.

Italy's Alessandro Siena has been a part-time visitor to the WSOP in most recent years, with about 20 live and online WSOP cashes to his name. His accomplishments now include an Online Circuit ring for his win in the turbo-format Event #3.

Siena, playing as 'ITstallionXV', earned $22,764.02 and the ring after finishing off John 'PlzFoldIPoor' Yoon during heads-up play. Yoon made his second final table in the first three events and earned $16,588.60 here. Third place and $12,169.62 went to 'RoyalQuadZ'.

Event #2 attracted 697 total entries from 445 unique players, who combined to chip in another 252 re-entries. The resulting $139,400 prize pool was split among the event's final 120 players.
