The Asian Poker Tour will bring its highly-coveted Golden Lion trophies to Shinhwa World in Jeju, SouthKorea for a ten-day tournament series. From April 26 to May 5, the APT will offer players an action-packed schedule of events, with over $3,700,000 in guaranteed prize pools and 85 Lion trophies up for grabs.
Recently, the APT took home the Global Poker Award for Best Trophy, based on fan voting.
The festival marks the APT's fourth foray to Jeju following a seven-year hiatus. Japan's KatsuhiroMuto won the Jeju Main Event back in March of 2017.
The new era of APT in Jeju boasts a sizable increase in guarantees across the series, highlighted by the Main Event guarantee of $1,500,000. The Jeju Main Event carries a $1,875 buy-in, with four starting flights for players to choose from and the option to register directly into Day 2 action before play begins.
As usual, the APT will offer players an eclectic selection of poker variants - old and new - to choose from, including several mixed game events. There are a number of exciting variants on the schedule, including No-Limit and Pot-Limit Omaha High - Lazy Rivers events with individual river cards dealt face up; Tick Tock BOOM events where levels decrease every hour; and the Mix Game Masters 9 Game event that features Limit H-E-R-O-S, plus PLO, NLH, 2-7 Single Draw, and Triple Draw.
The complete schedule of events is now live on the APT's website - check out the highlights below!
