Imsirovic takes down PokerGO Cup Event #2 for $183,000
Ali Imsirovic is running away with the 2021 PokerGO Tour Leaderboard championship, and he put even more distance between himself and the rest of the pack on Thursday.
PokerGO Cup Event #2: $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em ended with a scene that’s become a frequent feature on this year’s PokerGO Tour. Ali Imsirovic took center stage in the winner’s photo, coming away with the victory in the tournament for a $183,000 payday.
With the win, Imsirovic extended his lead against the field as the No. 1 player on the 2021 PokerGO Tour Leaderboard standings. PokerGO Cup Event #2 marked Imsirovic’s seventh win in the PokerGO Tour this year.
That seventh win marks an extraordinary statistic from Imsirovic’s elite-level poker resume. Imsirovic’s seven wins and 18 cashes are both tops on the PokerGO Tour in 2021.
Imsirovic pushed his career tournament earnings to $11,624,200 with the win. He’s No. 1 on both the Hendon Mob and PokerGO Tour 2021 money lists.

Imsirovic outlasted Jason Koon (2nd - $122,000) in heads-up play to clinch the PokerGO Cup Event #2 win. Other final table finishers included Dylan Linde (3rd - $85,400), Mo Rahim (4th - $61,000), Frank Funaro (5th - $48,800), and Matas Cimbolas (6th - $36,600).
The second event on the PokerGO Cup schedule drew 61 entries, down a few players from the 66 entries for Event #1. The last of three $10,000 No-Limit Hold’em events on the schedule plays to a conclusion today, with the final table of Event #3 playing out today at the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas.
The high rollers that frequent PokerGO Tour events will get a reprieve from Imsirovic adding more points to his leaderboard standings in Event #3. Sam Soverel goes into Friday’s final table as the tournament chip leader.
Daniel Negreanu finished on the final table bubble in Event #3, but did leave the PokerGO Studio with a $21,200 payout. The tournament final table looks like this:

Friday’s action at the PokerGO Studio includes the Event #3 final table, as well as the start of Event #4: $15,000 No-Limit Hold’em.
The buy-ins for each PokerGO Cup event escalate through the rest of the series, including a pair of $25,000 events, a $50,000 event, and a $100,000 buy-in tournament to end the series. All tournaments in the PokerGO Cup play as No-Limit Hold’em events.
