First 888poker LIVE event of the year comes to Madrid

The Gran Via Casino in Madrid is the site of the first 888poker LIVE event of 2024, with the action kicking off in the Spanish capital on January 22.

Affordable buy-ins are the name of the game, with almost all events coming in at under €350. These include the multi-day opening event (€220), the Mini Shot Turbo event (€65), the 2-day Mystery Bounty (€330), the Mid Shot (€165), Big Shot (€330) and PLO event (€165).

There’s also a Ladies event for €55 and a closer on the final day of the series, January 29, for just €100. The High Roller event, January 24-25, features a €2,000 buy-in.

Four starting flights for the Main Event

The buy-in for the Main Event is once again set at the magic number of €888, which should put this big-field tournament within reach of a lot of players across Europe and beyond.

Over 500 entrants took part last year, creating a prize pool of €394,544. Romania’s Adrian Marin took that one down for €92k, topping a field dominated by Spanish players but also featuring those from further afield including Portugal, Brazil, Russia and Israel.

Three standard starting flights for the Main Event are running January 25-27, with a turbo Day 1D taking place on January 28. Main Event packages are still up for grabs via $109 online satellites, where available.

A number of 888poker ambassadors are confirmed to be attending, including Nick Eastwood, Ian Simpson, Vivian Saliba, Lucia Navarro and Alexandre ‘Cavalito’ Mantovani.
