Biggest series in Winning Poker Network history sees trio of big tournaments wind down
With the dust just barely settled from The Venom PKO, the Winning Poker Network pushes through with more massive progressive knockout tournaments.
The WPN Progressive Knockout Online Super Series (PKOSS) sees one Main Event crown a champion on Sunday, while a pair of multi-flight events play down to the final day. The PKOSS began May 9 and runs through May 24.
The series guarantees $25 million in combined prize pools, making it the biggest tournament series ever offered by WPN. Here’s a look at what goes down this weekend as final days of the PKOSS play out.
PKOSS #126L: $500,000 Guaranteed Main Event
The second of two PKOSS Main Events plays as a one-day, unlimited re-entry tournament. PKOSS $126L offers a $500,000 guaranteed prize pool, with just a $50 buy-in.
The madness begins at noon EDT on Sunday, May 24. The tournament will need to draw at least 10,000 runners to meet the guarantee.
The eventual winner will bag the first-place prize, plus progressive bounties, which are sure to reach into big money territory with potentially 10,000-plus players in the field.
Late registration for the $500,000 Main Event goes on through five hours of play.
PKOSS #137 - $2,500,000 Guaranteed (Last Chance)
The final two of 16 starting flights play out on Sunday for PKOSS #137: $2,500,000 Guaranteed. The $630 buy-in tournament ran at least one Day 1 flight every day of the series, and players on WPN get two final chances to sign up for Day 1 action this Sunday.
The $2,500,000 guaranteed prize pool for PKOSS #126L is the biggest of any event in the series. The first of two Day 1 phases for Sunday begins at 9 am EDT.
The PKOSS $126L Last Chance Flight kicks off a 2 pm EDT. Each Day 1 for PKOSS #126L plays down to 12 percent of the field.
The survivors from all 16 Day 1 phases come back as a combined field for Day 2, which reconvenes Monday, May 24. Day 2 will play for nine hours, unless a champion is determined before then.
If play goes beyond nine hours, a Day 3 flight will play on Tuesday, May 25, and go on until a winner is crowned.
PKOSS #138 - $1,000,000 Guaranteed (Last Chance)
Much like Event #137, PKOSS #138 sees the final two of multiple Day 1 flights begin on Sunday, May 23. The $200 buy-in tournament guarantees $1,000,000.
PKOSS #138 final day flights begin at 9 am EDT and 2 pm EDT on Sunday. The survivors from the Day flights come back Monday, May 24, with the tournament scheduled to play down to a champion.
