It was a big weekend for online poker. The brief lull between the spring festivals and their follow-up festivals has passed.
The Venom wrapped up its Day 1D flight, passing $7 million in the prize pool. The WSOPC Online Super Circuit awarded two more rings. The SCOOP Afterparty is underway.
Meanwhile the PASCOOP reached its crescendo as PokerStars launched two other state-specific SCOOPs this weekend. PokerStars NJ and PokerStars MI are both getting their own versions of the prestigious Spring Championship Of Online Poker. They are called, respectively, the NJSCOOP and MISCOOP.
Outside of these big events, there was still enough action going for big-name players to take down some impressive scores.
Parker "Tonkaaaap" Talbot took down the $1,050 Sunday Supersonic on PokerStars. Meanwhile, Shawn Daniels won the Sunday GGMasters High Roller event on PokerStars's rival GGNetwork platform. This Sunday saw a crazy amount of action across the interwebs.
Shawn Daniels wins GGMasters High Roller
On such a busy weekend, it would have been easy for Talbot and Daniels's win to pass players by. Daniels was one of 996 entries into the GGMasters High Roller event. With $1,000 of each $1,050 going into the prize pool, the event had a small overlay of $4k short of the $1 million guarantee.
The flat pay structure meant there were 162 places paid, with a min-cash of $1,821. A bit of bad luck made username "golubici" the bubble-boy in 163rd.
Shawn Daniels has over $1 million in live cashes, and an impressive online record to go with it. He beat out username "DFdS123" heads up in the GGMasters event to take the title. "DFdS123" took home $106,023 for second place.

Parker Talbot beasts PokerStars
Talbot's Sunday wasn't quite as profitable, though he took down two separate events on PokerStars.
First off, he made a first place finish in the PokerStars $1,050 Sunday Supersonic. He made $24,518 for that. Then he won the Hotter $109 for $5,898.
Though he only got about $30k for his wins, he had to beat rather fewer opponents to get there. There were 101 high-roller entrants in the Supersonic, and 314 opponents in the Hotter $109. Compared to the GGPoker figures, it looks like PokerStars might be struggling to keep the momentum up after SCOOP.
Stars got 101 entrants for its high roller event compared to almost ten times that for GGPoker's event.
WSOPC rings awarded in Online Super Circuit series
In Stars' defense, this weekend it was competing with GGPoker's WSOPC Online events. The WSOP brand is always a draw. It may be the reason more high-rollers were kicking about on the GGNetwork's servers yesterday.
Jonas "LobyPewis" Mackoff won his second WSOPC ring ever in WSOPC Online Super Circuit Event #5: $315 Bounty Giant for $71,140 over the weekend.
Meanwhile, Uri "JimyT" Reichenstein got his first WSOPC ring in Event #4: $800 No-Limit Hold'em 6-Max Championship. Reichenstein won $166,860 for his finish.
With a WSOP title in hand now, Reichenstein has one win towards a triple crown. He previously came close. In both 2016 and 2019, he took second place at the EPT Barcelona. Finally, he gets to be the bride.
