It's time again for your quite amateur photographer to share some of the sights from recent days' activity at the 2021 World Series of Poker. The Main Event is in full force at the Rio, and despite the seriousness of the chase, there's still some levity to be found as well. Enjoy!

Positively Fifth Street author James McManus has made just a limited appearance at this year's WSOP. He played in the Mini Main, then hopped into Day 1A of the Main Event.

Mason "Uncle Ron" Hinkle is in attendance on Day 1D of the Main Event. And...

...so is his watermelon cart. We trust this is a new watermelon, this coming from someone who narrowly avoided a cart-on collision in the Amazon Room back in 2019. All in good fun!

When Ebony Kenney is at the table, as she is here on the Main Event's Day 1D, she's always full of life and spirit. The above isn't a pose. That's just typical Ebony.

Finland's Eelis Parssinen became just his country's seventh player to capture WSOP bracelet gold, which he did in Event 64, $5,000 Mixed No-Limit Hold’em/Pot-Limit Omaha. He didn't have a ton of fellow Finnish players on hand as he accepted his bracelet on the Amazon Room's main stage, but that joy on his face is as genuine as it gets.

Speaking of the Amazon stage area, a/k/a the Mothership, there's always work to do. Most times it involves swapping out ads and set structures according to whichever broadcast entity is using the area next. Here, it's the night before the Main Event gets underway, and work is in progress.

More action from the Main. Here, the ME's 2019 fourth-place finisher, Garry Gates, nods to the camera. But who's that in the background? That's PokerGO's Jeff Platt, who's noticed Gates in the far reaches of the Amazon Room and is about to pounce for a brief video interview.

Meanwhile, one of the poker world's most unique and personable players, Brandon Shack-Harris, has endured a rough week. The skateboard? It's Brandon's, and here it's propped against a Brasilia Room wall while he plays in the Main Event. Shack-Harris has played most of the series while staying in a nearby apartment complex. Some days he's commuted by skateboard and some days by car, until he unfortunately totaled his car in an accident last week. Since then, as he deals with the paperwork involved in getting his insurance claim processed, it's been all skateboard. Unfortunately, Shack-Harris's tough run continued in the Main Event, as he was eliminated on Day 1D.

You just can't trust Frank Kassela not to do something silly and spontaneous, even in the middle of serious business such as the Main Event. He and pal Rep Porter ended up next to each other on Day 1D, and, well, that's Frank. We repeat, though, they're just good friends!
