As the World Series of Poker Paradise Main Event moves through it's third of four starting flights, MasashiOya was preoccupied with battling against some of poker's top professionals for a potential seven-figure payout.

The largest buy-in event on the WSOP Paradise schedule, Event #9: $100,000 Ultra High Roller, concluded today with Oya taking home the top prize of $2,940,000 and his first-ever WSOP gold bracelet. The three day event attracted 111 entries, generating a prize pool of $11,100,000. When Day 3 play began earlier today, ten players remained and Oya held chip lead.

After expertly maneuvering his way through a stacked final table that included online phenom Leon Sturm, Nick Schulman, Ben Heath, and DannyTang, Oya took a commanding chip lead into the heads up battle against Jason Koon.

It only took a few hands to decide a winner. In the final hand, both players made straights by the river, but Oya had Koon pipped. The chips went in the middle and Oya showed the winner, though to Koon's credit he took a moment before calling it off to consider folding his made hand, but just couldn't bring himself to do it.
