The 2022 WPT World Championship was an incredible success and rightly won the GPI award for best live event. This year, it’s set to be even bigger and better, and WPT has made a massive statement by slapping a $40 million guarantee on it. That’s by far the largest-ever live tournament guarantee in poker history.
The massive prize pool has made it the hottest event in a winter that’s sizzling with poker action. And you can be there to play in the huge Prime Championship (December 7-12) and the WPT World Championship (December 12-21) through a new ClubWPT promotion that will team players up with WPT ambassadors for a shot at poker glory.
The challenge begins with six separate online qualifying tournaments that play out October 21st-22nd. You can play in as many of the online satellites as you want, but you can only claim one entry into the next round.
The top five finishers from each of the online qualifiers win entry into the next round on October 29th. There, each group of finishers will play in a six-handed Sit & Go featuring one WPT Ambassador – Vince Van Patten, Andrew Neeme, Brad Owen, Lynn Gilmartin, Matt Savage, or Tony Dunst.
If you win or outlast the other qualifiers, you’ll get a $2,500 WPT Prime Championship Passport, which includes a $1,100 buy-in, four nights at Wynn Las Vegas, a travel stipend, and ClubWPT merchandise.
You’ll also get to team up with your respective WPT Ambassador (from the Sit & Go you won through) to play in an exclusive Tag Team tournament with the other winners and ambassadors on December 9 on the main stage, with the winner getting a $10,400 WPT World Championship seat.
“The WPT Ambassador Tag Team Challenge is one of the most creative ways our amazing ambassadors have been utilized within the ClubWPT landscape,” said WPT CEO Adam Pliska. “ClubWPT continues its mission to provide once-in-a-lifetime opportunities and experiences to a wide range of players.”
You can play on ClubWPT from Australia, Canada, France, and the UK, along with the vast majority of US States. You can find the full list of eligible states at the bottom of the ClubWPT website.

If you can’t play ClubWPT, there are loads of traditional online satellites running at WPT Global. We talked to WPT Global’s General Manager Alex Scott about the best value routes, and he promised plenty of value and overlays.
You can also qualify live at Wynn Las Vegas and a host of partner casinos.
We’re already getting excited about the World Championship. We might not be playing, but the PokerOrg team will be there for the full duration of the tournament to bring you full Instant coverage to complement the live reporting from the WPT team.
We’d love nothing more than to watch you win the Tag Team tournament and storm to the biggest final table of your poker life.
