Eleven poker players are about to hit the Triton Super High Roller Series in Vietnam with an extra $100,000 to spend. Americas Cardroom (ACR) ran two satellite tournaments awarding seven of the packages. Each package is valued at more than $100,000, which ACR has noted would be the richest live event satellite in online poker history.

ACR awarded the other four packages as part of a month-long competition between the ACR Team Pros and the ACR Stormers stream team. The competition consisted of various challenges, including social media engagement and a head-ups tournament. Jeff Boski, Mark Rubbathan, Jonathan Van Fleet, and Monika Zukowicz won those packages.

Reactions from the pros

"This $100,000 package is the biggest score of my poker career. I have never been to Europe let alone Asia, so this really is a trip of a lifetime," Boski said.

Van Fleet said, "I've been floating on Cloud Nine the last couple of days. I've always wanted to go to Southeast Asia and I’m excited to experience the culture and the food. I've been battling high-stakes MTTs for a long time, but playing bigger than $25Ks still really gets my heart going. I feel incredibly lucky for this opportunity and still can’t believe I have the coolest job in the world.”

Freedom to play

All package winners have complete freedom to spend their $100,000 in buy-ins as they see fit. This means they can spread the total across multiple tournaments or fire it all at once in a single $100K buy-in.

This is not the first time that ACR has run this type of promotion. Most recently, they awarded five prize packages to the Enjoy Poker Main Event in Punta del Este, Uruguay. CEO Phillip Nagy also gave ACR Pro Ebony Kenney the opportunity to play a $200,000 buy-in tournament at last year's Triton event in Cyprus. You can read more on that story here.
