With All Hallows Eve upon us and Thanksgiving in our near future, it's time to look forward to the late fall poker calendar.
November has plenty in store. It's not only the month with the remaining two dozen or so events of the World Series of Poker and the WSOP Main Event. There are also plenty of November events for those who are overseas in Brazil, Japan, or Czechia. Plus, there are a couple of U.S. series in direct competition with the WSOP.
Here are the key dates you'll want to put in your poker calendar for November 2021.
PokerGO Tour: Aria High Roller Series 2021
Dates: November 4-14, 2021
Location: Aria Resort and Casino, Las Vegas, U.S.A.
Big buy-ins and televised final tables galore feature in this ten-day run of Aria High Rollers.
These events are all part of the PokerGO Tour, a leaderboard of $10k+ events tracked and run by Poker Central.
Japan Poker Festival & THMC Japan by CTP and JCI
Dates: November 5-7, 2021
Location: Grand Central Tower, Tokyo, Japan
While poker for money is not legal in Japan, neither is gambling on pachinko. Yet that hasn't stopped it from becoming a national pastime. The Japan Poker Festival awards players with "sponsorship deals" in place of cash prizes.
Buy-ins in Japan often come through somewhat indirect means, so check the website for details on how to enter if you're heading out for this one.
This event will be hosting the first Hendon Mob Championship.
World Poker Tour (WPT) Rock 'N' Roll Poker Open
Dates: November 17-30, 2021
Location: Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Hollywood, Hollywood (FL), U.S.A.
Don't get confused. This event will not take place in the L.A. neighborhood made famous by the movie industry, but in the Florida township of the same name — the home of the Seminole Hard Rock Hollywood.
World Series of Poker Europe (WSOPE) 2021
Dates: November 19 - December 8, 2021
Location: King's Resort, Rozvadov, Czech Republic
The World Series of Poker Europe will be running its own worldwide poker tournament in November in the Czech Republic.
When you're done there, you may want to hop a train across the country to Prague where the EPT Prague kicks off the day the WSOPE finishes (December 8, 2021). Two birds for the cost of one flight.
Brazilian Series of Poker (BSOP) Sao Paulo
Dates: November 24-December 5, 2021
Location: WTC Sheraton, Sao Paulo, Brazil
The event that advertises itself as the biggest in the southern hemisphere is back right at the end of November.
Brazil has been hammered by the pandemic, so do check any travel safety advice if you're visiting from another country.
