Monday, 18th June. 2022 WSOP Day #42-51.

The Main Event has dominated the last ten days with its vast field of 8,663 players, the second largest WSOP Main Event ever.

Espen Jorstad was the talented and lucky player who took down the title, the bracelet, and the $10 million first prize. We all watched as the field narrowed, breaking the money bubble on Day 3.

By the time play reached the final three, Espen Jorstad seemed to have the game in the bag. Sure enough, he went on to take the Main Event down.

We are almost done with the series. The last of the bracelets have found their way to players' wrists. All that's left is the Tournament of Champions, the stacking of chairs, and the drawing down of blinds.

Hintze also filed a piece on the emotional journey of Michael “Mickey” Duek, the third-place finish in the Main Event.

The WSOP was also the scene for some more dramatic happenings including being hit by stampedes after rumors of an active shooter spread through the strip. And the WSOP had some questions to answer when a Jack Sparrow impersonator was 86'd from Bally's for bizarre reasons.
