Seventh final table appearance in the GGPoker High Roller ends in victory for Dvoress

Daniel Dvoress strikes a regular presence in the GGPoker Super MILLION$. Week after week, Dvoress persists as a top contender to make a deep run in the weekly $10,300 buy-in High Roller tournament.

Episode 48 of the Super MILLION$ marked Dvoress’ seventh final table run in GGPoker’s flagship event, and ended in a championship for the player. The Canadian all-time great took down the $2 million guaranteed tournament for $394,852, as the latest edition of perhaps poker’s most prestigious weekly tournament finished up Tuesday.

Already owning one of the game’s top tournament resumes, Dvoress can add a Super MILLION$ championship to his list of accomplishments. Some of the other accolades on that list include a Super High Roller Bowl championship, a Super High Roller Bowl Online win, and a WSOP bracelet.

Dvoress’ stands at $15.9 million in career live earnings, putting him in the top 50 in the Hendon Mob’s all-time tournament cash list. With Tuesday’s win, Dvoress now claims more than $1.3 million in earnings in the Super MILLION$.

New names at the final table, but a familiar face tops the field

The Super MILLION$ generally draws a final table filled with some of the toughest competition in the game. That certainly help true again in Episode 48, with names like former Super MILLION$ champion Guillaume Nolet (4th - $196,472), Mike Watson (7th - $97,761) and Ami Barer (9th - $61,387) finding seats among the final nine.

Three-handed play, however, pitted Dvoress against a pair of relative newcomers, known only by their online screen names.

‘McDavid97’ (3rd - $247,939) entered Tuesday’s final table as the tournament chip leader, and rode that big stack to a third-place finish.

While we don’t know the true identity of the Canada-based player, ‘McDavid97’ now has two Super MILLION$ final table appearances to his credit, and more than $1.1 million in career winnings at GGPoker. ‘McDavid97’ qualified for Super MILLION$ Episode 48 via a $525 satellite, turning that into a nearly quarter-million dollar payday.

Dvoress topped ‘DaiMin141319’ (2nd - $312,889) in the heads-up duel for the championship. Playing from UAE, ‘DaiMin141319’ cashed for the first time in four Super MILLION$ appearances.

Other final table finishers included top players like Preben Stokkan (5th - $155,688), Fabrice Stokkan (6th - $123,370), and Idris Ambraisse (8th - $77,468).

The Super MILLION$ begins every Sunday at GGPoker, with the final table played each Tuesday. Poker’s most prestigious weekly tournament plays out alongside the WSOP Super Circuit Online Series, which runs throughout May at GGPoker.
