The $600 Ultra Stack NLH begins Day 2 play at 1:00pm local time with 603 players advancing from the three Day 1 starting flights.

Day 1B in the $1,000 Mystery Bounty PLO kicks off at 10:00am local time. On Day 1A, 1,922 players entered, but only 288 put chips in the bag for Day 2.

At the same time, Day 1A of the $300 Gladiators of Poker NLH kicks off – expect a massive field and plenty of carnage.

And, last but not least, we'll see Day 1A action in the $3,000 Mid-Stakes Championship NLH.

Before there were PLO solvers, there was 'JNANDEZ'.

Noted Omaha player, coach and author Fernando 'JNANDEZ' Habegger joins us for the latest edition of PokerOrg's The Interview.

Day 2D of the Main Event comes to an end: The stream is still going but the players have bagged. Hold fire for our full report ahead of the field combining for Day 3 tomorrow.

Shaun Deeb eliminates David Costabile: You might know him as Wags from Billions, but David Costabile's Main Event run has come to an end. Deeb got the better of a flip with , improving to beat Costabile's pocket fives. Deeb is up to 245,500.

Spin up. Leave. Watch a movie. Play $4/$8 limit. Return: It sounds like an absurdist performance art piece, but Amit Agarwal is tackling the WSOP Main Event in the most unorthodox way imaginable: play like a maniac, build a stack, then head off for a movie and a workout. Strange but true – and we're here for it.

Notable stacks on dinner break:

  • Kathy Liebert: 386K
  • Stephen Song: 376K
  • Chris Hunichen: 345K
  • Ryan Riess: 333K
  • Aubrey Willliams: 260K
  • Benny Glaser: 254K
  • Erick Lindgren: 251K
  • Martin Kabrhel: 242K

There have been some notable eliminations too:

  • Nick Schulman
  • Jonathan Tamayo
  • Daniel Negreanu
  • Matt Glantz
  • Eli Elezra

Will Kassouf is in the house: He's got 110K at the dinner break, down from a peak of 150K. The WSOP appears to have learned its lesson from last year and is keeping him away from the feature tables – for now, anyway.

Jonathan Tamayo won't be winning the 2026 Main Event: The 2024 champ flopped a set but his opponent flopped a bigger one.

2026 WSOP Main Event is fourth-biggest: 9,208 players paid $10,000 to enter the Main Event for a shot at what is likely to be a $10 million first prize. That's well short of the record field set in 2024, but it still ranks as the fourth-biggest of all time.

Phil Ivey has entered the Main Event: He'll have a 50 big blind stack to play with when Level 8 starts.

Day 2D of Main Event on its second break of the day: And that means we're counting down the last 20 minutes of late registration. The field is up to 9,161 and there's still no sign of Phil Ivey. Will he max late reg? We'll find out shortly.

Isai Scheinberg enters the Main Event: The PokerStars founder and 2026 Hall of Fame nominee is in the field and looking for his fourth WSOP cash, 30 years after his first in 1996.

9,000 and counting in the Main Event: There's still almost three hours of late reg left and the Main Event field is now up to 9,007. Gus Hansen, Nick Schulman and Liv Boeree all entered this morning. It was a quick Main Event for Hansen, who's out already.

Daniel Negreanu's Day Off: We've got a rare off-the-table vlog from Negreanu today. It might not be as exciting or action-packed as previous episodes, but everyone needs a day off here or there.

It starts with a trip to the spa – off-camera, thankfully – before a stop for a sandwich and then lots of hanging on the couch at home. Plus, a little look back on one of the key hands he played during Day 1 of the Main Event.

Negreanu returns to action later today in Day 2D of the Main Event – so we can expect a big one tomorrow.

WSOP Day 43: We're getting down to the wire here, but the best has yet to come.

The WSOP Main Event rolls on today. 3,638 survivors from Day 1D will return for Day 2D action at 11:00am local time. It's last call for any stragglers as late registration will officially close at the start of Level 8. The late registrants are already piling in – so expect that overall entrant tally to climb over the first four hours of play.

Taylor von Kriegenbergh holds the chip lead to start after bagging up 312.8K (391 BBs) – but it's a long day ahead.

Event #87: $1K Mystery Bounty PLO Day 1A starts today at 1pm. There's a second Day 1 flight tomorrow and the field will combine to play to a winner on Thursday.

And elsewhere in the Paris and Horseshoe ballrooms, players will take their seats for Day 1C of the $600 Ultra Stack.

Nicholas Rigby eliminated: He had his time on the feature table today but he couldn't get anything going – and not for want of trying. The Main Event will miss him.

Old school vs. new school: Phil Hellmuth was regaling his table with a story about his son Nick, who's sharing a table with old-school legend Freddy Deeb.

"Who's Freddy Deeb?" asked a player on his table. "Shaun's brother or son or something?"

Hellmuth also revealed he got 25 minutes of REM sleep during the dinner break and is feeling good.

Michael Mizrachi doubles up: The 2026 champion was all-in and at risk against Alexander Queen. Mizrachi had the best of it with kings against jacks and held to double up. "First all-in of the tournament," Mizrachi said with a smile as he stacked his newly won 143,400-chip stack.

Main Event on dinner break: 1,823 players remain and will return after dinner to play two more levels today. Notable Day 2ABC eliminations include Antonio Esfandiari, Jason Koon and Faraz Jaka.

Late registration closed on Day 2ABC: 312 players have entered today to bring the total field to 8,482 – including 93 players who have already registered for Day 2D. That means we're almost certainly looking at a drop from last year's 9,735 entries, though the field still looks set to surpass 9,000 players.

Vamos Espana: Earlier today in Dallas, Spain advanced to the quarterfinals of the FIFA World Cup – defeating neighboring Portugal in a 1-0 nail biter.

Meanwhile, in Las Vegas, Spanish footballing legend and poker enthusiast Gerard Pique is battling it out on Day 2ABC of the Main Event.

While his countrymen were winning on the pitch, the former Barcelona defender was dragging pots at the poker table – and chipping up nicely to take his stack to 145K (120 BBs).
