The resurgence of tournament poker at the Borgata is set to continue this month, with the Borgata Spring Poker Open promising 22 events and more than $4 million in guarantees across just over two weeks of action.

As we covered on Instant earlier this year, the return of MTTs to the iconic mirrored casino saw Alex Queen scoop the Winter Poker Open Main Event title and $613,000.

The life-changing sums will be back on April 29, when the Spring Poker Open starts, running through to May 14, with at least two seven-figure guarantees on the schedule.

Borgata Spring Poker Open Main Event

The flagship tournament is a $2,700 buy-in NLHE with a monster $2,000,000 guarantee, which for any maths whizz-kids is a rise on the Winter $5,300 buy-in/$3 million GTD ME.

Days 1a and 1b play on May 10 and 11, and merge into Day 2 on May 12, followed by Day 3 on May 13 and the final table on May 14. That final table will be livestreamed, one of several broadcast events on the BSPO schedule.

Borgata big 3 multi-day tournaments

The Main Event is only one of three multi-day tournaments, the first being the $500 buy-in Almighty Million Kickoff. With a $1,000,000 guarantee, there are five starting flights from April 30 and again a livestreamed final table.

The third biggie scheduled is the $900 buy-in, $500,000 GTD Mirror Mystery Bounty, one of the favourite formats for players, with four starting flights and yet another livestreamed final table.

Lots of livestreaming action

It’s not only the big headline tournaments that will grace the small screen, as the BSPO schedule also features a wide and unique range of livestreamed events.

A $2-5 NLHE cash game on May 3 will see lucky seat participants from the previous two days cash games given their time in the limelight, while May 5 sees lovers of four-card poker get the same treatment, with players picked from the previous days’ PLO Championship.

A $150k GTD BetMGM Hybrid tournament sees players start online and finish things off live at the Borgata, while an invitation-only High Roller will also get the livestream treatment.

Bag your seat on the cheap

As always, trying to bag seats on the cheap will be an attractive option and available both online and live at the Borgata. Players resident in New Jersey can sign up to BetMGM where they’ll find nightly qualifiers, step satellites, and on-demand satellites starting at just $5.

Seats to the ‘Borgata Big 3’ can be won at a host of live satellites running April 29 through May 10. Buy-ins range from $165 up to $580 and all the relevant details can be found on the full Borgata Spring Poker Open schedule.
