He may be a Las Vegas resident these days but there are two places that will surely feel like home for Daniel Negreanu: Canada and GGPoker.
The Toronto-born poker pro has had US citizenship since 2016, but this week finds himself back in Canada — and back on GGPoker, the site he has represented since 2019 — to play and stream the WSOP Online series.
With just 7 players of the 228 entries remaining in the $10K GGMillion$ Pot-Limit Omaha (PLO) bracelet event, he enters the final table with the second largest stack.
His 6.4M chips is good for 92bb when play resumes at 2pm ET on Monday, leaving Negreanu behind only Andreas Freund with 8.6M.
Fellow high rollers Christopher Nguyen and Biao Ding have also made it all the way to the big money spots, as have Finland’s Samuli Sipila, Dirk Gerritse of The Netherlands, and Vito Diaz of Venezuela.

Every player at the final table is guaranteed at least $71K, but all eyes will be fixed on the top prize of $428K.
That comes not only with a $30K ‘Super Pass’ for the WSOP Super Main Event at WSOP Paradise this December, but most importantly — for those concerned with legacy, at least — a WSOP gold bracelet.
These items of jewelry represent arguably the greatest achievements in poker. Phil Hellmuth leads the way with 17 won over the last five decades; Negreanu has 8, the most recent coming just a few months ago in the PLO High Roller in the summer series.
The game of PLO is, in his own words, ‘my jam’. As he described in a celebratory post, below, he feels he did pretty much everything right on his way to the final table.
“I really did it, man,” Negreanu shares as he walks along the Vancouver waterfront, “I know how to bob, how to weave. I bluffed at the spots I should bluff at, I avoided the ones I shouldn’t, I got away cheap in the ones where I’m supposed to, pot control, I did everything. This game was built for me.”
He also mentions some technical problems which interrupted his planned streaming of the event. With the world’s most popular poker player reaching the brink of yet another WSOP bracelet on Monday, we can’t imagine that he or GGPoker will let any similar issues derail what should be an extremely entertaining stream.
