Pascal Hartmann wins Super MILLION$ Episode 32; Dario Sammartino finishes fifth
Dario Sammartino came into Tuesday’s Super MILLION$ Episode 32 final table with perhaps his best chance yet of adding a Super MILLION$ championship to his standout resume.
The 2019 World Series of Poker Main Event runner-up entered final table play as the chip leader and favorite to win this week’s tournament according to PokerShares. In his fourth Super MILLION$ final table appearance, however, Sammartino’s first win in the $10,300 weekly GGPoker event eluded him once again.
Pascal Hartmann came away with the win in this week’s GGPoker Super MILLION$ High Roller, spinning up a starting stack of 25 big blinds into his first Super MILLION$ win. The player landed a $454,908 payout.
Hartmann outdueled ‘Pluto The Doggo’ (2nd - $350,782) in the heads-up match for the title. Sammartino (5th - $160,834) posted his third career Super MILLION$ top-five finish, but his first win in the prestigious weekly tournament will have to come another day.

Short stack spin up for top two finishers
Both Hartmann and runner-up ‘Pluto The Doggo’ started Tuesday’s final table action as significant underdogs to win this week’s championship. ‘Pluto The Doggo’ (34 big blinds) and Hartmann came into the final day at seventh and eighth in the chip counts respectively.
PokerShares put long odds on both Hartmann (+950) and ‘Pluto The Doggo’ (+1050) to finish with a tournament victory.
Sammartino entered final table play with 73 big blinds, and PokerShares posted the Italian poker superstar as the heavy favorite (+280) to win his first Super MILLION$ title.
That win didn’t materialize for Sammartino, however. The fifth-place finish boosted Sammartino’s career GGPoker earnings to just over the $3.9 million mark.
Sammartino’s elimination came at the hands of Hartmann, who went into four-handed play with a big lead over the rest of the field after sending Sammartino to the rail.
Other final table finishers
Aliaksei Brooks (9th - $56,864), Amichai Barer (8th - $73,743), Kyle Menard (7th - $95,633) and Isaac Baron (6th - $124,020) bowed out in places sixth through ninth. Baron surrendered his 32 big blind stack to Hartmann in one of the biggest hands at the final table, with Baron’s ace-king offsuit getting the worst of it against Hartmann’s pocket queens.
After Sammartino’s exit in fifth place, ‘RRomoshka’ (4th - $208,576) and ‘OnTheFlow’ (3rd - $270,490) went out next, setting up the final battle between Hartmann and ‘Pluto The Doggo’.
Hartmann went into heads-up play with a nearly five-to-one chip lead, and the final two players dueled for ten minutes before Hartmann finished the deal.
The win puts Hartmann’s career GGPoker winnings over the $6.2 million mark. He has now made four final table appearances in the Super MILLION$ High Roller, with his previous best run coming at the July 12, 2020, final table.
That tournament yielded a second-place finish and a $301,708 payday for Hartmann. The German tournament crusher exceeded that previous best with Tuesday’s win.
