WPT Global's Summer Festival has wrapped up its run with 'pas11561br' emerging as the series' biggest winner, and several of WPT Global's own brand ambassadors enjoying deep runs in the series.

'pas1161br', whose identity has yet to be released, took down the series' $3,500 championship event, which offered a million-dollar guarantee. The player earned $206,300 for the win, along with a $10,400 seat into December's WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas.

The champion triumphed over a six-player final table that began with WPT Global brand ambassadors Jonathan 'apestyles' Van Fleet and Patrick 'Egyption' Tardif holding the two largest stacks. Van Fleet encountered headwinds early and ultimately exited in fifth for $59,200, while Tardif made it to heads-up play and finished as the runner-up for $130,640.

Another WPT Global brand rep, Brad 'BradOwen1' Owen, finished 31st in the championship to earn $7,300. The event drew 283 entries and the top 35 finishers earned a cash.

WPT 500, Prime events also find winners

Among the numerous events available in the online series, two other WPT-branded events also headlined the action. In the $1,060 WPT Prime event, 'Sucra71’ topped the 615-entry field and collected the largest share of the event's $750,000 pool, $145,312, plus another $10,400 WPT World Championship seat. In the WPT 500 online tourney, '两弹一星' claimed the win, besting an 898-entry field to earn $83,109

“It was a great turnout for our largest festival to date,” said WPT Global President Alex Scott. “Aside from the Championship purse, there were plenty of other big winners across the board. More than $8 million in prize money was awarded throughout the entire festival.” Throughout the course of the festival, 15,850 players logged on from 80 separate countries to play one or more events.

The next major series on WPT Global isn't far off. The upcoming WPT Global Fall Festival is slated for a September 8-30 run, with event specifics set to be released in the coming days.
