Leading poker content provider PokerGO®, in partnership with Web3 gaming developer Gala Games, today announced the development of PokerGO Play™, a new social-gaming poker game, with prominent poker star Maria Ho announced as the game's debut brand ambassador. Ho is also a brand ambassador for cryptocurrency entity StormX, which has partnered with PokerGO on other projects.
Set for public release later in 2023, the game is year and is expected to be released publicly in beta mode in June. PokerGO Play promises to offer users a "revolutionary social-gaming experience" within a state-of-the-art poker platform, including innovative gameplay and enhanced platform functionality.
Users will have the ability to enhance and upgrade their in-game characters in addition to being able to win and redeem real-world prizes. Ho will help publicize the game's launch, and an avatar in her likeness will be playable by users, as will avatars in the likenesses of other celebrities.

PokerGO Play will also appear as a top-tier sponsor of PokerGO. As part of that designation, the social game will be marketed throughout PokerGO's largest-in-poker content portfolio. PokerGO Genesis NFT holders will receive what is descrived as "beneficial status" within the game once it launches. PokerGO and Gala Games also plan to host special events inside the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas.
