The Ladies International Poker Series (LIPS) has announced the first details of the 2024 edition of the Women in Poker Winter Festival, which will include tournaments and social events held at several different Las Vegas casino venues.
It's the third consecutive year for the Winter Festival. The 2024 celebration of women in poker will run for seven days, December 9-15, 2024. The majority of the festival's tournaments and gatherings will take place at Resorts World Las Vegas, though the Orleans and Wynn Las Vegas will also host tourneys during the festival's seven-day run.
In the Wynn's instance, and though it's not technically a LIPS-hosted event, that tournament is one of the most important ladies poker tourneys of the year, the $1,100 WPT Ladies Championship. The series also includes the $360 WIP NLHE Championship, which will begin on December 12 at Resorts World.

Social events add to week's festivities
As with the LIPS-organized Ladies Poker Week each summer in Vegas, social gatherings are an important element of the week's festivities. The informal and party-like MUG (Meet-Up Game) has become a welcome addition to these gatherings, typically including numerous female pros, WiPHoF members and other well-known players.
Speaking of the WiPHoF (Women in Poker Hall of Fame), the week will also include the induction banquet for the WiPHoF Class of 2024 members. Last month, the WiPHoF held its public-nominations phase, which is now being followed by a vetting of candidates and the announcement of this year's finalists. This cycle's honorees will be announced in November, then feted at the December luncheon, with the venue still to be announced.
